So My life has been occupied by lots of stuff right now so I have not had time to post. Unfortunately this still pretty much holds true for the most part right now. So to make up for this lack of posting, I will be posting again. These post will not be as in depth as I like them to be, but for the mean time it will keep you occupied for when you get home from school and you are tired of sitting on facebook.

In honor of probably my most faithful viewer Margard and his success at tonight's basketball game I know of flash indie game that has the same name as his old nick name Stargard (actully the game is spelled Star Gaurd but we will let that slide.)



This is about Chris' life story battling an evil wizard. You can ask him about it. it's a true story.

It's a indie game and I have to say its really hard, but the checkpoints are reasonable and beating the final boss is very satisfying but really difficult. The art style is also very simple,cool, Atari inspired, and the text keeps you entertained.

Too Many Portfolios To DO!!!!

So the reason I have not been posting that much is because I am finishing up my college apps. I have 6 portfolios to do. One is due on the 11th and the other 5 on the 15th. So I Do not have time to post until after the 15th. That is when I will be free to write frequently.

Anyway...to make my portfolio making much easier I have recruited the help of adobe creative suite 4. I now have Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop at my disposal. So i started out by creating this quick little title in illustrator for my blog. I then imported it to photoshop, took a screen shot of my blog for color pallet, changed the colors, and finally uploaded it as the new header. Anyway tell me what you think of my beginner illustrator skills above and below in this post.

Sorry I havn't been posting as much as I should. Last week was really stressful for me hw wise. Who knew quant phys could be so hard. Anyways now that I am in palm springs stuck with my dad and brother, I will have lots of time to keep everyone happy. Stay tuned for ADVENTURES IN OLD PERSON LAND!

One of the cool features: real time translation!



Seriously If everyone had Wave right now group projects would be so easy. Everyone in your group would be able to work on the project document at the same time, in real time. This was especially relevant to me a week ago when my science partner and I were working on a lab write up using Facebook and gmail. It was horrible we IM'd on one website, I worked on the write up and sent him a draft. I would of been much faster if we were both working on it at the same time through wave instead of sending the document back and forth.

So Sunday was full of awesome shenanigans. My brother Invited me to go see the MLS Cup Final at Quest Field. The two teams were Real Salt Lake, and the LA Galaxy (which has David Beckham.) Anyway it was a really good match. At the end of regulation it was tied 1-1 so it went into overtime...after overtime it was still 1-1 so it went into PKs! Landon Donovan, who my brother claimed is the best US soccer player, blew a PK for the Galaxy which lead to Real Salt Lake shooting for the game winning PK. Here is the game winning PK on Video:

Oh did I mention we were sitting next to the LA Galaxy "Riot Squad," which is their cheer section with all the craziest fans. My brother kindly said into the Riot Squad, "nice try, you will get em' next time." Someone immediately replied, "FUCK YOU!"

After Leaving the "pitch" we got some good Chinese at Jade Garden (hella good btw) and hitched a ride on the new Light Rail. Which I have to say is clean and beautiful...for now. Did you know that there are underground Light Rail stations from the International District to Westlake Center. It's gonna be really useful though when they finish the station across the street from dick's burgers. That would allow for some Chinese

U-Prep Blogging: Dark Ages

Twas the Eve of November 17th of the year 2009 of the lord when the empire of the blogosphere has deteriorated to but one citizen (myself SHMU) and several chumps (frosh according to saul.) Many have fallen: The King Beeba, The Jester GEEZY, The Philosopher SAUL, The Prince KYLE, and The Jew WILL (sry i don't know where you fit in a medieval ranking system.) have tis gone into the kingdom of Book of Face where full opinions and uninterrupted thoughts tis non existent. Though SHMU visits thy kingdom of Book of Face but he does not let thy Book of Face faze him from giving up posting on his own blog.

The Revenge Of Icy Tower: Icy Tower Facebook

The Facebook version of Icy Tower is the same good old game you played in middle school, but it has the added bonus of social networking. The object is to jump up an endless tower of 'floor' as high as you can to the highest 'floor' before you fall to your death. As you jump the floors below crumble away and if your not fast enough you will find the floor fall from under you. Two of my friends have been trash talking me on my wall that they got to a higher floor than me and I can't seem to live with that.



Adding a competitive aspect to this game has made the replay value of this game high. Instead of fighting for a personal best. You constantly are trying to best other friends. Your rank amongst your friends is shown on the left side. And when you jump pass their best level, you see their character sitting there and you leave them in the dust.

To get it you have to add the app to your facebook

Maximus Minimus. My second Visit

So I went to Maximum Minimus again on Halloween with some friends... My friend Morg said " this is the fucking best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had." My original intention was to go to Marination but by the time I got there they were all sold out of food. But Maximus Minimus was still stocked with the most delicious food out there.

Econ Sales Update 11/2/09

So currently I have made 7 sales: 3 from my jv contract, and 4 from outside the contract. That means unless Max Geezy did some sales today...I am up 4-0. I also handed out countless forms so watch out Geezy.

JV UPREP BOYS UNDEFEATED!!!!!!

So i just got home from our final game and our end of season celebration for an UNDEFEATED SEASON.


THAT IS RIGHT UNDEFEATED SEASON. PROBABLY THE FIRST UNDEFEATED JV TEAM IN SCHOOL HISTORY


I know were only JV but we played our heart out all season. I had fun as the "Senior Stallion" and as the "Piano Mover," which is another way of saying play maker. I see a lot of boys on JV that I know will make Varsity next year and play their hearts out. Even though I will not be back at U Prep next year I have decided to come back just to see which of my JV boys make the big Varsity.

Anyway as a celebration the whole team buzz cut their hair as you will see on Monday at assembly.

RED RING OF DEATH

So I just got Halo 3: ODST today expecting to come home and play the hell out of it, but now i can't cause I got THE RED RING OF DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I am going to have to wait another month to play to my hearts desire FML. Its okay though I understand Microsoft that you can not make a perfect system. I am not angry because I knew i could not avoid the RRoD forever. I am mad, but I still love you for your awesome warranty program. <3

SHMU'S QUEST #1: Street Vendor Seattle

QUEST #1

I've recently noticed how many street vendors have popped up in the past year. I already swear by Rancho Bravo tacos on 45th. But there are so many popping up and I haven't been able to go to any of them. So I have officially declared a new blog series where i quest to find all these street vendors (most of which are moving trucks that post up at different locations,) and eat all their good food and report back to my readers with a VERDICT!!!

THE LIST OF VENDORS:

-Marination Mobile: A traveling Hawaiian/Korean food truck.

-Maximus Minimus: Also a traveling van. Serves a mean pulled pork sandwich according to my brother, but have yet to visit it.

- Skillet: Also a travelling van. Serves fancy burgers for a good price.

- Hot Dog Joe's : Supposedly seattle has its own signature hot dog now that includes cream cheese. This one supposedly has multiple vendors around town open until 2am (a new Dick's alternative for late night hunger?)

- Parfait: A organic artisan ice cream truck with flavors like Dagoba Chocolate, Butter Toffee crunch, and Fresh Mint Stracciatella. I have actually seen this one before intending to come back later for a cup but it disappeared...

LET THE QUEST BEGIN! IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN THE QUEST, TELL ME

Friday Night Study

So because of "how much i have on my plate," (college apps, portfolio, school hw, sat, act.) my dad is making me spend one extra night at home studying. So I have spent my first Friday ever studying. WOW, MY DAD IS FUCKING RETARDED THIS IS A SHITTY IDEA.

1) NONE OF MY OTHER FRIENDS DO THIS
2) WTF ITS FRIDAY NIGHT
3) SOMEHOW ITS REALLY JUST SO MY DAD CAN SPEND MORE TIME WITH ME CAUSE "I NEVER SEE ENOUGH OF HIM." HEY DAD...REALITY CHECK, I DON'T GIVE A FUCK.
4) I DON'T REALLY SEE HIM ANYWAY CAUSE I'M STUDYING IN THE OTHER ROOM. UNLESS HE HAS SOME SORTA CREEPY CAMERA
5) ALL WORK AND NO PLAY WILL QUICKLY BURN ME OUT TO DO ANYTHING

so the only way this is gonna all end is if i finish this shit. i better get back to work then. FML (this is the only time in my life i will ever use that phrase.)
